Alex would like to relay his deepest apologies to all three of his admirers.  The great overlord Maz-Tak-Lo attempted to overthrow Alex.  It resulted in what is now known as the single longest instance of hand-to-hand combat ever.  Alex and Maz-Tak-Lo battled for nearly 16 standard Earth months.  Unfortunately,  while Alex was triumphant he does need to undergo some maintenance to repair some minor damage and hopes to be operational again within the next few months.  In the meantime Alex wishes all three of you well and wants to remind you not to forget to get your gears and joints lubed at their reguarly scheduled intervals.  Beep…Blip…Buzz.

Alex approached me last week eager to hit the floor running and he suggested we do something special for the upcoming Halloween holiday. He knew that when Halloween came he could easily store his candy in any of his available hidden compartments, but most kids don’t have the luxury of built in storage so he wanted to give them the next best thing. A nice reusable canvas bag with a picture of him on it. I told him we couldn’t just plaster his picture on anything and sell it to the general public, and that if he really wanted to do this he needed to do something really special to make it worthwhile. The next thing I heard was his little gyros spinning up and he darted off down the back hallway. Fading off in the distance all I could here was “You won’t regret this….” I didn’t believe him.

Halloween Trick or Treat BagA few days later I was walking past the photo studio and I was terrified by the image before me. All I could think of was all the paperwork I was going to need to fill out with the Government Office of Equal Rights for Robots otherwise know as ERR. Then suddenly I heard Alex call out my name from over my shoulder. He really wanted to do something special and special is what he was doing…he removed his head. It was safely stowed on a shelf to give a good vantage point so that he could control his body during the photo shoot. I think I’ve bored you enough with the details and so I present to you. our latest product full of Halloween goodness available now from our CafePress shop, the 2008 Halloween Trick or Treat Bag.

Alex the RobotAlex is thrilled to join the Robot Frenzy team. He brings with him over 140 years of industry experience in the field of planetary domination. Alex has over 712 planetary take-overs under his thermonuclear plasmonic hyperpiston drivebelt. In addition Alex has squashed 13 planetary rebellions, 2 galactic coups and successfully re-energized the interstellar stock market after the cross-galactic stock crash of 33418 during the reign of the universal overlord Maz-Tak-Lo. Although Alex will not be utilizing his specific domination skills in his day-to-day operations here at Robot Frenzy Headquarters we certainly are expecting a lot of good things to come from his prior experience and would like to wish him a warm welcome to the Robot Frenzy team.

Welcome to Robot Frenzy. Although it has taken some time to get off the ground, we’re almost ready to move forward. First a little history.

Child's Robot Frenzy T-ShirtThe idea behind Robot Frenzy came about one late evening in July of 2006. We both enjoy television with a great deal of passion for the science-fiction and horror genres. My own love for retro-classics (more specifically b-movies) which are so often not appreciated by the general public drove me to the idea of how to share this passion with our child and to pass on this interest. The original intention was to simply provide some minor robot-based children’s activities on the site as well as products printed on t-shirts, mugs, mousepads, all the usual and easy to reproduce stuff via CafePress.

Our ultimate goal is to create products that allow us to share our love for classic science-fiction with our child. Now we’re making that a reality with a line of kid-friendly products intended for children and adults all with a retro-robot theme. Our original design is still available through our original CafePress shop at http://www.cafepress.com/RobotFrenzy where you can still purchase the original design on a wide variety of products. Also in the works is a line of home and office products. Please stay tuned as we finish up some details on our new site and finalize our upcoming product line.
